Ashiana Tandoori

Home to a real clay tandoori oven, Ashiana has incredible house-made naan, as you can imagine, and their tandoori dishes (I'm partial to chicken) are amazing. When you dine in, the service is breathtaking. Each curry dish arrives at the table in beautiful metal bowls set on stands over tealights to keep them warm. The prices are very reasonable and much more affordable than the fancier places downtown and, in my opinion, the food is much better. Everything tastes as though it has been lovingly prepared. If you get food to go here, it is given to you in foil containers that keep the food hot. Ashiana is very well known among the local East Indian population for their sweets (desserts). You can go in at any time and request a box of whatever sweets you like by weight and they are incredible. I especially love their Gulab Jamun. A box of sweets can also make a unique gift for someone, but make sure that they'll be eaten while they're fresh.
