Description [ edit ]
Welcome to the Wine Bar at 9 Church Street, a hotspot on the Toronto culinary scene!
Have a seat at our lively open kitchen and watch our chefs prepare your very own tasting menu. Or tuck into a cozy, intimate table for two. Choose from one of the finest wine lists in Canada-with many vintages exclusive to us and every bottle handpicked by our Sommelier.
Menus change daily according to what's fresh and seasonal. Every item is served "small plate" to encourage sharing and sampling. Executive Chef Bryan Burke's menus refelect his commitment to artisanal production and local procurement. His masterful layering of tastes and use of fine, fresh ingredients create dishes of distinct flavour that are uniquely and proudly Ontario.

This used to be Jamie Kennedy's wine bar! Lots of people still remember it fondly as Mr. Kennedy's spot. Great selection of wines from a place that dedicates its business model to finding the tastiest wines in the world and bringing them to a table near you. They serve up tapas-style foods that were expertly selected to pair with all different kinds of wines. The foods they serve come in small portions and are packed with big flavour! I definitely recommend checking this spot out. Cool place to bring people for business meetings (depending on your type of business!), and an equally cool place to bring out of town guests to. The Wine Bar makes Toronto look good.
A great dinning experience. They have some very ncie tables for two
but make sure you get a table once where you can watch the meals
being prepared in front of you it's unbelievable. We were dazzeled by
Brians ability to cook and entertain and will always come back for
that. Also if you are a wine person, this place is definitely for
you.

Love the live-kitchen concept and the fantastic selection of wines, but it is better to eat a full meal elsewhere because their food servings are more like appetizers and not as filling as I would have hoped. I will go back thought for their Vanilla Pavlova dessert
If you're expecting the Jamie Kennedy Wine bar experience, the previous owner, than prepare to be disappointed. The tapa items that are offered are good but definitely not up to the same quality. In general the items are good but good enough for the pricing they have. However, they do have a good selection of wines so if you're up for a small meal than it may not be that bad.
I actually prefer this place more now that it is not Jamie Kennedy's. They kept the wine selection. But the food portions are still small.
