Been many times to the other locations on Cambie St and at Banzai in Richmond, I've only eaten at the Davie St location once. The menu and portions are not quite the same as in the other stores, and the prices are only slightly higher. But I find the sashimi to be just as good. Also compared to the other sushi restaurants in the downtown area the prices are actually pretty good, so when I'm there and I want some decent sushi at reasonable prices, this would be the place to go. Not the best but its pretty good.
Best sushi in town, very fresh and delicious. I also had yaki soba and its the absolute best. I highly reccommend this restaurant for Japanese food and wonderful service. I will diffenently be back
Their sushi is fresh, their serice is friendly, and they give discounts if you order ahead. Also, for what you get in an order, their prices are good.
A great place for sushi for your money's worth! I've always heard about this restaurant through friends raving how big their portions are. I finally went in with a few friends and tried it out. We went a bit late and they had already froze the tuna, so we each got a Salmon Sashimi Don. It was so big! I could not finish it, so I just ate the sashimi by itself. It is a really good price for wat you pay for, but I do acknowledge that the food is not as fresh as I would want it to be. However, for that price, it is what you pay for.
the roll are big, but the quality wasn't good, I would pay more to get better food
when you don't have the time for AYCE place, come here for great valued sushi. big portions. expect line ups so call ahead and order take away. stroll up and goto the cashier, pay and pick up your food and enjoy in the park. not as nice as in the restaurant but it's way more easy than lining up for 30 plus minutes for food. will return for more great eats
Agree with the other two reviews. I love this place because the food is very fresh and portions are huge. The house roll is a must try.
It is incredible value to eat at Samurai because there are constantly long line ups during lunch and dinner time. The sashimi is always fresh and the portions are also huge. I highly recommend the Salmon sashimi and the combos.
Great bang for the buck sashimi and sushi, massive servings and cheap prices that will have you questioning "how?!".. and the answer is, more customers = more turnover = fresh ingredients. Result is both customer and restaurant wins!

The only redeeming factor of this establishment is that they do give you a large portion. However, their portions are large only because of all the rice they use as filler.
