Description [ edit ]
We have heard time and time again that we are the best place in town to bring friends, clients, family and visitors that you want to impress and have a good time with. In 1992 Carmen & Mary Albis opened Sopraffino's a fine dining restaurant that served Italian cuisine. With their two boys, Antoine and Julian quickly learning the business they created the Thirsty Monk in 1996. The Thirsty Monk provided excellent service, exceptional food and showcased some of the best beers in the world. In 2008 the family decided to merge the two restaurants into a new concept that would grow with the times. The "Thirsty Monk Gastro Pub" is a restaurant that not only uses the finest ingredients in their food but also has their guests feeling like family.

I love a pub that throws you off of your course when you think that you are getting "pub grub" and pub grub is not what you get here! The food is fantastic! The chef knows what he is doing and this is a hidden treasure in the pub world of Durham Region! Love it!
Great place for a quick bite and to watch the game. The mussels marinara are really good here as is the bruschetta. Prices are really good and the waitstaff are very nice/
